CHRISTMAS PARTY ANOTHER SUCCESS...
Even old Ben Weaver couldn't spoil the fun and great food had by all at the annual Mayberry Christmas party. Lots of food...we all hit the high water mark. The gifts were again very good. We had everything from a picture of aunt Bea's winning rose, handcuffs, Neal Bentley's business cards, the magic lamp from (whatever his name was), a Mayberry 1861 town bond, and none of the Otis Campbell moonshine this year and about 20 other items.

A BIG THANKS to John and Ruby Hitch for their hopitality They opened up their Mayberry home for all of us.

DENNIS BEAL GOES HOLLYWOOD!

Mayberry Chapter Sheriff Dennis Beal made his acting debut at the elegant RITZ in Clinton, Tennessee on Saturday, October 14.

Mr. Beal had many standing ovations from the several hundred in the audience. Beal performed with distinction as Mr. Schwump and as a jack-legged preacher officiating a wedding.

Heda Hopper was quoted as saying, "this was the greatest acting debut since Barney Fife play an Indian Chief."

Many dignitaries were in the audience that included Ed McMahon representing "Star Search." Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, infamous preacher Benny Hinn selling miracle snake oil, Bob Barker of "The Price Is Right" fame were also spotted by our sources.

It was indeed a great night for all!

New Blog by Mark Cawood, M.D.(Mayberry Deputy) and Sharon Cawood

This will be a little bit of humor...a little bit of down right falsifications! This is a light look at politics and other fine things that happen to pop in our minds!

It could be about the Commission, the Mayor, or a varity of elected officials. I may talk about the local news papers and the lack of good local coverage. Who knows??
